1. This is a term that is commonly used in volleyball and basketball to describe when players are blocking their opponents successfully and consistently.
The term was created to describe a fictional place that players go when they are blocking well. Therefore if a game tends to have a lot of “blocks”, players will claim they are now in block city because they are “filling the place up with blocks”.
