  • Jeter’s first contract was worth $130,000 (1992).
  • Through his first three seasons, Jeter made $1.43 million (1992 – 1995).
  • After helping lead the team to a World Series victory, Jeter won salary arbitration and earned a $5 million contract after the Yankees offered him $3.2 million (1999).

In one of his biggest post-playing splashes, Jeter joined a group of partners to acquire the Miami Marlins. The sale price was $1.2 billion, and Jeter reportedly put in $25 million. He was also tasked with running baseball and business operations for the team.

In February 2022 after four seasons, Jeter stepped down from his role and gave up his 4% stake in the team.
