Carlos Boozer is an NCAA champion, Olympic gold medalist and multiple time NBA All-Star. Needless to say, Boozer has carved out a nice basketball career for himself.

So it’s funny to know that one of the things that many people think of when they hear Boozer’s name is: “Wasn’t he the guy with the fake, shiny hair?”

For those who may not follow basketball as religiously, or have a bad memory, let me recap the story.

In February of 2012, Boozer was finishing up the tail-end of his first year with the Chicago Bulls and was playing in a national televised game against the Boston Celtics. He happened to be having a great game, so inevitably, the camera was always on him. But the people at home weren’t focused in on his rebound stats.

They were staring at his head.

Boozer, who usually sported a shaved look and had a recediting hairline, surprised the audience when he sported a new “shiny” look. A very shiny and fully head of wanna-be hair.

It was awful.

Years later, nobody really knew what Boozer did with his head. That is until now.

Yesterday, Boozer went on the ESPN show, Highly Questionable, and finally explained what he was thinking that night. He was a great sport and took the jokes in stride and finally got to share why he put some questionable product on his head. Check it out below.
