So What The Heck Has Wes Welker Been Up To?

August 17, 2015 By Nick A.

Today I was eating a wrap and randomly thought, “what the heck has Wes Welker” been up to?

So What The Heck Has Wes Welker Been Up To?

Mark J. Rebilas/USA TODAY Sports

With the first few weeks of the NFL preseason underway, I noticed all the different storylines (Manning, Deflategate, etc.) getting substantial press and wondered what happened to one of the premier wide receivers in the past 10 years.

Obviously, many believe that Welker’s concussion past is the reason why he hasn’t signed with a new team, but could it be age? Lack of skill? Probably not. I think it has to do with the concussions too.

So to see what he’s been up to, I went to the most private arena possible: Twitter.

It appears the former Pro Bowler hasn’t been active on his account since July, but appears to be very happy with his new set of eyes.

Pretty incredible that I went from 20/40 vision to 20/15 vision in one day! Thanks again @havelasik

Woke up this morning and my eyesight makes me feel 20 years old again! Thank you @havelasik for everything! Time for the post op follow up!

Thanks @havelasik I am already seeing so much clearer! Wish I would have done this sooner!

Well, if a team is willing to take a chance on him (I think the Eagles would be a good fit), they’ll be getting a receiver who feels 20 years old again. Well, not necessarily. Maybe a receiver who has the eyes of a 20 year old… or the vision of a 20 year old. You get the idea.
