Forty-nine.
That’s how many games Derrick Rose has played since his 2011 MVP season. I, personally, am a huge fan of Rose and have missed him ever since he tore his ACL against the Philadelphia 76ers in their playoff game in 2012. I’ve waited years for him to rehab and get back into playing shape and have been curious as to how he’d bounce back. When he was invited to try out for Team USA in Las Vegas, I wondered which Rose would show up.
If you’ve watched Rose play before his injury, then you know he plays fast, explosive and fearless. An ACL tear is a hard injury to come back from, and an injury that can really play with your confidence. On top of that, some players lose some of their explosiveness and bounce.
Well, here’s the a small, but promising clip of Rose at Team USA’s camp. It’s not much, but the way he’s able to cut and throw it down, two-handed, without much of a head start is something I’m sure the Chicago Bulls love to see.
