I Don’t Think Jason Kidd’s Old Boss Likes Him Anymore

November 4, 2014 By Nick A.

Why is it that when you’re supposed to move on from a broken relationship, one of the people involved doesn’t want to keep their mouth shut?

That seems to be the case between current Milwaukee Bucks head coach Jason Kidd and Brooklyn Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov. But it’s not Kidd who’s doing the talking, it’s Prokhorov. That’s the two of them on the left in the picture when Kidd was with the Nets. Don’t they just look great pals.

“I think there is a nice proverb in English: Don’t let the door hit you where the good Lord has split you,” said Prokhorov before the Nets’ home opener against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

I have no idea why this topic was brought up again, since Kidd was traded for two second round picks this past summer. And usually owners don’t do the trash talking, it’s the players or coaches. Well, mostly all owners not named Mark Cuban and now Prokhorov.

Kidd actually took the high road and didn’t say anything in response to the comments about him. Actually, he did say one thing.

In response to the Prokhorov saying they’ll get even on the court, Kidd responded with, “Now if it was me and him playing one-on-one on the court, that would be fine.”

I think the fans, league, PPV and players should find a way to make this happen. I really don’t care about their little feud, but it would be nice to watch Kidd demolish a billionaire on the basketball court. I’m pretty sure a matchup of that kind has never happened before, so why not now?
