When you think of some of the greatest Chicago Bulls players not named Michael Jordan, quite a few names can come to mind.
Pippen, Rodman, Grant, Rose, Sloan, but there’s one name that might not jump out of the minds of most fans.
Scalabrine. Yes, Brian Scalabrine.
I mean, how can you forget a guy who played in 46 tough games for the team, where he averaged 1.1 points, 0.6 rebounds, 0.5 rebounds in under five minutes a game?
Well, almost all of us. But not Bulls rookie Lauri Markkanen.
The rookie from Finland apparently asked Scalabrine if he could wear his sacred number 24 for the team. I mean, if Markkanen is trying to set an example to others that you should respect all those who have come before you, then he’s setting a great one.
Strange but true: The Bulls Lauri Markkanen asked Brian Scalabrine if he could wear No. 24. Now that's respect. Insane, yes. But respect.

Maybe he’s paying Scalabrine respect since he has an NBA ring, although that was with the Celtics.
Oh, nevermind. There’s no explaining this.
