The New York Mets tried to do something nice for their fans this week. The only problem is, they got more laughs than cheers, especially from Phillies fans.
A few days ago, the Mets decided to give away a toy truck to the first 15,000 fans that came to their game. The only problem is, the logo on the box, did not match the logo on the toy truck. So who’s logo is on the side of the truck? None other than their hated rival, the Philadelphia Phillies. Yeahhhh.
Not only are these two teams hanging out with each other at the bottom of the NL East standings, but they apparently also shared the same toy truck (to an extent).
I’m not sure if there were any other trucks besides the one that was posted below on Twitter, but it doesn’t matter if there was or wasn’t. It basically sums up how the whole organization is not paying attention to the details this year.
So if you want a blueprint on how to have a losing season, check in on the Mets.
