Well, if it’s any consolation, Tracy McGrady’s first pro NBA game wasn’t that spectacular and that career turned out pretty well. Maybe the same luck will transition to baseball?

McGrady took the mound Saturday for the Sugar Land Skeeters, making his professional baseball debut and well… it didn’t go quite as planned.

Well, when McGrady debuted for the Toronto Raptors October 31, 1997, he only played six minutes and scored zero points. So the way I look at this is, he had a short outing his first pro basketball game, so it’s only fitting to do the same for his first pro baseball game. And the very least we can take away from this game is that he threw over 50 percent of his pitches for strikes.
