Looks like Tracy McGrady has a job for the summer.
It looks like McGrady did what some thought would be impossible and made the roster for the Sugar Land Skeeters of the Atlantic League.
As we mentioned a week ago, The seven-time NBA All-Star was going to give his try at baseball as a pitcher. Right now, the Skeeters have signed McGrady to their opening-day roster as a relief pitcher, but there’s not guarantee that he’ll be on the roster for the entire 140 game schedule. The Atlantic League is considered tough minor league competition and if McGrady can’t hack it, then I’m sure he’ll be sent packing.
But one thing that I didn’t mention last week and just found out now is that McGrady had been getting pointers from none other than Roger Clemens. Yeah, that Roger Clemens. And rumor has it, according to the Bleacher Report, McGrady has even touched 90 mph on the radar gun. That means he’s throwing some serious heat out there for not having pitched probably since high school.

Whether people think this is a publicity stunt or not, there’s no way to fake a 90 mph fastball and McGrady definitely warrants a longer look.
