Jabari Parker Exchanges Oreos With Joel Embiid For The Millions

June 23, 2014 By Nick A.

Okay, so that headline isn’t necessarily true, but it got you in here didn’t it? Boom!

Jabari Parker Exchanges Oreos With Joel Embiid For The Millions

Rob Kinnan/USA TODAY Sports

In all seriousness, it appears former Duke standout Jabari Parker paid fellow NBA lottery pick hopeful Joel Embiid a visit, who is recovering from surgery. If you’re wondering why the former Kansas center had to go under the knife, it’s because Embiid had to have surgery to fix a stress fracture in his foot. An injury that can heal quickly or can be nagging for years. A very big gamble for any team who is looking to draft Embiid in the top 10.

Embiid was moving up the draft charts and it seemed that he had cemented his place as the number overall pick in the draft later this week, but with his latest injury, it appears Parker is the safer bet for Cleveland to take number one. If I were Parker, I’d probably bring something a little more flashy than a pack of Oreos. At least throw in some Red Vines and a tub of popcorn to show a little more gratitude for the extra millions of dollars you’ll be making because of his surgery.

With that said, I do wish Embiid a fast and successful recovery with no set backs, and one question for Parker.

Didn’t anyone teach you that when you eat Oreos, you eat them with milk, not Gatorade!?

Must be product placement. Hospital visit AND products in the photo. This kid is good. Real good.
