Chris Paul loves his job and I’m sure he hates his current boss, but won’t openly say it. But unlike most employees who love their jobs and hate their bosses, he’s going to be getting a new one soon. Really, really soon.
CP3 stopped by the Los Angeles Kings game at the Staples Center Friday night where he got to meet Steve Ballmer, who won the bidding war to buy the Los Angeles Clippers for $2 billion. Yes, I said $2 BILLION.
Yeah, I know some of you heard that Donald Sterling would never sell the Clippers. Well, it turns out that Mr. Sterling voluntarily underwent an extensive neurological exam this month, according to USA Today. What does that have to do with him selling the Clippers? Well, during that exam, doctors diagnosed Sterling with symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease which meant that Sterling was deemed mentally unfit to make decisions for the Sterling Family Trust. This gave Shelly Sterling the power to approve the sale of the team to former Microsoft CEO Ballmer.
Anyways, judging by the video below, it looks like Paul is going to have a much happier 2014 season under new ownership.
And despite Sterling stating that he’ll sue the NBA for the forced sale of his team, let’s be honest, he’s already having a hard time remembering what he had for breakfast.
