Patrick Peterson Says He’s The Best, Madden NFL 15 Says No

July 30, 2014 By Nick A.

Today was mostly a good day for Patrick Peterson.

First, the Arizona Cardinals’ cornerback signed a new contract that made him the highest paid cornerback in the league. How much did he get?

Oh, only a five-year contract worth $70 million, with $48 million guaranteed. That should buy him a nice new pad in Scottsdale. Peterson’s new contract now makes Richard Sherman the second highest corner in the league, and of course, Peterson took a jab at the Seattle Seahawks defensive back on Twitter.

And to make the jab a little worse, he used Sherman’s own catch phrase to taunt him: “U mad bro!!! LMAO” (I’d actually post the tweet, but it kept screwing up my page, so I had to move on.)

Well, if you know anything about Richard Sherman, you know he wasn’t going to let this pass. And honestly, I think his response to Peterson was perfect. See it below.

And to top off this wonderful day, the guys down at EA Sports decided to release their top five cornerback ratings for Madden 15. And it appears the Madden Gods not only have Sherman as the best rated corner in the league at 99, but they also have two others rated above Peterson.

Top 5 Madden 15 Cornerbacks

  1. Richard Sherman, Seattle Seahawks – 99 overall
  2. Darelle Revis, New England Patriots – 97 overall
  3. Joe Haden, Cleveland Browns – 95 overall
  4. Patrick Peterson, Arizona Cardinals – 93 overall
  5. Vontae Davis, Indianapolis Colts – 92 overall

Peterson may have the money right now, but it’s Sherman who also has a nice balance in his checking account, a Super Bowl ring and the respect of EA Sports.

If I was Peterson, I’d be slightly mad or at least jealous… bro.

Can't ever be too mad lmao… pic.twitter.com/ZHA28B9Tji
