What Is The Definition Of Tee Pad In Disc Golf?
1. A tee pad is the designated area from which the first throw of each hole takes place. Tee pads are often made of concrete, though some feature rubber, turf, grass, asphalt, or gravel.
Some holes feature multiple tee pads to accommodate players of different skills levels; colors are used to indicate skill level from most advanced to beginner (gold, blue, white, and red), with gold tee pads placed furthest from the target.
When making their first throw of the hole, the player must remain behind the front boundary of the tee pad. Players are allowed to run or take steps on the tee pad before their throw. Once the disc has been released, they are permitted to step beyond the pad as part of their follow-through.
